Established over four decades serving the less privileged and grass-root masses we, the Nirali Kitaben (NK), are the largest and the oldest player in the field of Adult Literacy in Pakistan. Making a person able to read and write, we believe, is only addressing the issue partly. We offer a comprehensive package. This approach not only prevents backsliding it instills a reading habit through the Mini Library that we have invented. The learning is further corroborated when the neo-literate uses the Each-One-Teach-One kit. This enables another person to become literate through the hands of this neo-literate while this process reinforces the knowledge that the neo-literate has acquired.

Our services have transformed the lives of many people. An uncounted number of people have been able to read and write and many, by reading our health books, were able to put right their health attitude and some were able to treat others by following the instruction given in our health books.
